How the UltraSIPs Configurator Helps Price SIP Panels Before Drawings Are Final

The UltraSIPs configurator helps customers test SIP panel sizes, roof types, openings, timber, EPDM and delivery before a final drawing package is ready.

Many customers know roughly what they want before they have full drawings. They may know the size of the slab, the wall height, the roof type and the main openings, but not every technical detail. That is exactly where the UltraSIPs configurator helps.

Build the basic shape first

You can start with a simple rectangle, L-shape or more advanced footprint. The configurator uses the footprint to estimate SIP wall, roof and floor requirements, rather than asking you to work out panel quantities manually.

Test SIP thickness options

Changing panel thickness can affect cost, thermal performance and the overall specification. The configurator lets you compare options like 122mm, 172mm and 222mm so you can understand the budget impact before asking for a formal review.

Add openings and roof details

Doors, windows, roof openings, roof type and pitch can all affect the estimate. Large openings may trigger provisional support allowances. These are not structural calculations, but they are useful budget markers so the quote is not unrealistically low.

Include roof covering and timber assumptions

The SIP shell is only part of the build. Timber pack, breather membrane and EPDM roof covering can be included in the estimate where selected. The configurator also shows timber linear metre assumptions so customers can understand what is being allowed for.

Request a live delivery quote

Delivery depends on more than postcode. The configurator considers panel sizes, weight and vehicle fit so the delivery estimate is closer to the real logistics requirement.

Unloading is handled by the customer unless a separate offloading service is agreed, so tell us early if access is tight or assistance is needed.

When should you still send drawings?

The configurator is a strong pricing and planning tool, but drawings still matter for final layouts, opening positions, structural sign-off and any project-specific detailing. If you are building an extension, annexe, habitable space or complex structure, send the drawings to UltraSIPs before ordering.

Start with the configurator, then use the saved link when you contact UltraSIPs. That gives us a clear starting point and reduces back-and-forth.
